Western Astrology · Depth Psychology
The chart is a map. The psyche is the territory.
Learn to read the natal chart as a map of the psyche: its drives, defenses, complexes, and growth potential. Integrate Jungian archetypes and depth psychology with astrological technique for self-understanding, shadow work, and therapeutic insight.

- The planets as archetypes, and the three outer planets as transpersonal forces that move a whole generation.
- The shadow and the complexes — the aspect patterns a complex takes, and the defenses that keep it in place.
- The inner family of Sun, Moon and Saturn, Chiron the wounded healer, and the lunar nodes.
- Relationship patterns, transits read as psychological process, the life cycle in the chart, and dreams and active imagination.

The Technique
The same placements, read from the inside.
A psychological reading treats the chart as a description of inner relations rather than a set of labels: which drive is arguing with which, what a placement is protecting, where the chart has an excess and where it has a hole. The course works from the planetary archetypes through the shadow and the complexes to the transits that activate them.
- The planets as psychic drives, and the outer three as transpersonal forces.
- The shadow and the complexes, and the aspect patterns that carry them.
- The inner family — Sun, Moon and Saturn — read together rather than one at a time.
- The lunar nodes, the life cycle, and transits read as process rather than event.
The Problem
Keyword astrology has no interior.
"You're a Scorpio, so you're intense." A keyword is not a psychology. Depth psychology asks what a pattern is doing, what it protects, what it costs and what it is for — and a chart is unusually good at holding that question, because it was built to describe drives in relation to one another rather than traits in isolation. Read that way it stops being a label and becomes a place to work: the same placements, with an inside.
The archetypes
The planets read as psychic drives rather than personality tags, and the three outer planets as forces that shape a generation rather than an individual.
The shadow
What the chart refuses to look at: the disowned material, the placements that usually carry it, and why the qualities we cannot stand in others tend to be the ones we have exiled in ourselves.
Complexes and patterns
Aspects as the shape a complex takes — the T-square with something to prove, the grand trine with nothing to push against — read as structure rather than as fate.
The inner family
Sun, Moon and Saturn: identity, need, and the inner authority that judges both. The course treats the three together, because most of the argument in a chart happens between them.
Relationship patterns
What a chart repeats in its relationships, and how the pattern can be seen without being blamed on a partner or on a sign.
Growth, not comfort
The lunar nodes, the life cycle in the chart, and transits read as psychological process — the course's honest note being that the growth they describe is meaningful and difficult, not a promise of ease.

Common Questions
Before you enrol.
Is this therapy?
No, and the course opens by saying so. Psychological astrology draws on Jungian and depth psychology, but it is not psychotherapy and not a substitute for it: it illuminates patterns, and therapy heals wounds — the course's own division of labour, with neither replacing the other. It also teaches the boundary as technique: what an astrologer must never do (diagnose, treat a clinical condition, process trauma, touch medication) and when to refer someone to a professional.
What does it mean to read a chart psychologically?
It means treating the chart as a description of inner relations rather than a set of labels: which drive is arguing with which, what a placement is protecting, where the chart has an excess and where a hole. The course works through the planetary archetypes, the shadow, complexes and aspect patterns, the Sun–Moon–Saturn configuration, Chiron, the nodes, relationship patterns and the transits that activate them.
Do I need to have studied astrology before?
The course reads a natal chart throughout, so familiarity with signs, houses and aspects helps. It builds its own psychological vocabulary from the foundations — archetype, complex, shadow, projection — and teaches each technique with the chart it is being read from.
Is this only for practitioners?
No. The course is written for anyone who wants to read a chart with more depth, including for their own, and its final module covers the professional side for those who take it to clients — the frame of a session, when to refer, and the ethical boundaries of working psychologically with someone else's chart.
How is the course delivered?
Entirely online, on this academy, in written lessons and fully self-paced: no deadlines, no scheduled classes to keep, and no app to install. Lifetime access is included.
Can I get a refund?
You may request a full refund within seven (7) days of purchase, provided you have not completed more than 20% of the course content. See the Terms & Conditions.
