An educational course in traditional astrology — it is not medical advice

The Technique
The chart of the hour an illness begins.
Medical astrology reads two charts together: the natal chart for the constitution, and the decumbiture — cast for the exact moment a person takes to their bed — for the illness itself. The course calls the decumbiture the single most important tool the tradition has, and teaches it beside the natal reading rather than instead of it.
- The twelve signs and the parts of the body they govern, and the planets as significators of health.
- Temperament, constitution and the humours, read from the chart's own testimony.

- Health vulnerabilities in the natal chart, acute and chronic conditions, and the timing of a crisis.
The Problem
An illness has a chart of its own.
Medicine reads the body; the tradition read the body and the sky together. Before there was a diagnosis there was a chart — the decumbiture, cast for the moment an illness took hold — read alongside the natal chart for the constitution it was working on. That is a technical body of work: significators and their dignity, the humours, the critical days, the timing of a crisis. Almost none of it survives in modern astrology, and what survives is usually the sun-sign section of a magazine.
The signs and the body
The twelve signs govern twelve regions of the body, from the head and face under Aries to the feet and diffuse systems under Pisces — module 2's own table, taught as the framework the tradition reads rather than as a diagnosis of anyone.
Planets as significators
Which planet speaks for the body, which for the complaint, and how dignity and debility change what each of them can do about it.
Temperament and the humours
The four temperaments and the humoral theory behind them, read from the chart's own testimony rather than guessed from behaviour.
The decumbiture chart
The chart of the onset — the moment the sick person took to their bed — which the course calls the most important tool a medical astrologer has, and the reading that follows from it.
Critical days and crisis
The days the tradition watched for a turn, the crisis points a chart marks in advance, and the difference between an acute condition and a chronic one.
Remedies and surgery
Herbs and planetary remedies as the tradition taught them, surgical timing, and the mental-health reading — all of it alongside medical care, never instead of it.

Common Questions
Before you enrol.
Is this medical advice?
No. It is an educational course in traditional astrology, and the course is emphatic about the line: medical astrology is a symbolic and educational framework, not a healthcare service. It cannot diagnose disease, it cannot prescribe treatment, and it cannot replace professional medical care — the course's own words are that a client presenting with symptoms needs a doctor, not a chart reading. What it teaches is a traditional way of reading a chart alongside medical care, never instead of it.
What is a decumbiture chart?
The chart cast for the exact moment a person falls ill — the point at which symptoms become undeniable and the sick person takes to their bed. The word comes from the Latin decumbere, to lie down. The course devotes a module to it and treats it as medical astrology's equivalent of the horary chart: the single most important prognostic tool the tradition has.
What does the course cover?
Foundations and the limits of the discipline; the twelve signs and the parts of the body; the planets as health significators; the houses in a medical reading; dignity and debility; temperament and constitution; humoral theory; the decumbiture chart; diagnosing illness in the natal chart; acute, chronic and recurring conditions; critical days and crisis points; herbs and planetary remedies; surgical timing; mental health and the chart; case studies; and how to structure a medical astrology practice within its proper scope.
Do I need to have studied astrology before?
The decumbiture is read with the same instruments horary astrology uses — significators, receptions, the Moon's applying aspects — so if you have studied horary you will find familiar ground here, applied to health. The course builds the reading from its own foundations, and states its scope as it goes.
How is the course delivered?
Entirely online, on this academy, in written lessons and fully self-paced: no deadlines, no scheduled classes to keep, and no app to install. Lifetime access is included.
Can I get a refund?
You may request a full refund within seven (7) days of purchase, provided you have not completed more than 20% of the course content. See the Terms & Conditions.
