The Technique
A day is chosen for the person it begins.
Date selection (择日) works in layers. The almanac (黄历) grades the day itself; the twelve officers (建除十二神) give it its verdict; the individual's own BaZi says whether that verdict applies to the person beginning the matter. The course teaches the layers in that order, and then teaches what to do when they disagree.
- The almanac read properly: the structure of a day's page, and the difference between 黄历 and 通书.
- The twelve officers (建除十二神), with Suit (宜) and Avoid (忌) as the day's decision matrix.
