Chinese Metaphysics · Zi Wei Dou Shu 婚姻
Read the chart for love.
Few questions are asked of a chart with more hope, or answered with less care. This course reads the marriage properly: the Spouse Palace and the partner it describes, the four palaces that decide a bond, the traffic of the transformations between two people, love through the decades — and the two-chart method of compatibility, with a library of worked charts.

- 夫妻宮 read properly — the partner's temperament and standing, and what the palace does and does not claim.
- The four palaces of a marriage: 命, 夫妻, 福德 and 遷移, each with its own part to play.
- The flying-star bond — 命 and 夫妻 flying their transformations into each other, and what that describes.
- 合婚 — the two-chart method: matching the Spouse Palaces, reading a couple's own chart, choosing well.

The Method
A marriage takes four palaces.
A beginner's reading looks at the Spouse Palace and describes a stranger. But a marriage is not one palace: it is you, the partner, the emotional life you bring to it, and the world outside it — four palaces read together. And a marriage made of two people needs two charts, which is the method half of this course is built on.
- 命宮 shows what you yourself bring to a marriage — and what makes partnership hard whatever the partner is like.
- 夫妻宮 shows the partner and the bond: temperament, bearing, and how the two of you treat each other.
- 福德宮 is the emotional life: whether a good marriage can actually be felt and enjoyed.
- 遷移宮 is the outer world — read in the tradition alongside the rest, and never on its own.
The Problem
A chart is not a verdict.
Marriage is where fortune-telling does its worst work. A reader looks at a heavy Spouse Palace and tells a young person their marriage will fail; another sees a peach-blossom star and tells a married one they will stray. None of that is what the chart says. The classical material reads pressure, tendency and traffic between people — and this course teaches that reading with the discipline it needs, including the limits: a chart cannot name a person, cannot promise a marriage, and cannot excuse behaviour.
The bond
夫妻宮 is the partner and the relationship in one palace — the temperament you are drawn to, and the manner in which the two of you deal with each other. Read alone, it describes a stranger; read with its triangle, it describes a marriage.
The feeling
福德宮 is the emotional life and the capacity to enjoy what you have. A good marriage that cannot be felt is a reading of this palace, not of the partner.
The union
合婚 reads two charts as one relationship: whose Spouse Palace answers whose Life Palace, and what the transformations do when they cross from one person into the other.
The choosing
The tradition reads compatibility to choose well, not only to explain afterwards. It describes friction and ease — it does not choose for anyone, and this course says so.

Common Questions
Before you read a marriage chart.
Do I need the Zi Wei Dou Shu Masterclass first?
No. This course stands on its own: every term is defined as it is used, so a newcomer can follow it from the first lesson. If you already know the chart you will move faster through the foundations and spend your time in the technique, the compatibility method and the case studies.
How is this different from the Masterclass?
The Masterclass teaches the whole system and touches marriage as one of twelve palaces. This course takes that single question and goes all the way down: the Spouse Palace star by star, the self you bring to a marriage, the flying-star traffic between two people, the timing of marriage, separation and remarriage, and the two-chart method of compatibility — none of which the Masterclass covers at this depth.
Will it tell me whether my marriage will last?
No — and any course that promises that is not reading the chart. A reading describes structure and pressure: what a bond is made of, where the friction sits, and when it is tested. It cannot decide an outcome, and this course is explicit about why, and about what a reader should refuse to say.
Can it tell me who I should marry?
It teaches the traditional method of compatibility, which reads how two charts answer each other — where there is ease and where there is friction. That is a real and useful reading. It does not choose a person for anyone, and the course says so plainly rather than pretending otherwise.
How is the course delivered?
Entirely online, on this academy, in written lessons and fully self-paced: no deadlines, no scheduled classes to keep, and no app to install. Lifetime access is included.
Can I get a refund?
You may request a full refund within seven (7) days of purchase, provided you have not completed more than 20% of the course content. See the Terms & Conditions.
