Chinese Metaphysics · BaZi 八字 婚姻

Read the Four Pillars for love.

BaZi reads a marriage from three places at once: the Spouse Star and the partner it describes, the Day Branch as the palace of the marriage, and the Day Master's own capacity to hold a bond. This course reads all three together, times the marriage year through the luck pillars, and puts two charts side by side in the traditional method of compatibility — with a library of worked love charts.

  • 配偶星 — the Spouse Star by element and stem, and the partner the chart actually points toward.
  • The Day Branch as the marital palace: what the Day Master sits on, and what a clash to it does.
  • Capacity — whether the Day Master can hold the wealth or the officer it is drawn to.
  • The marriage year: reading the luck pillar and the annual pillar that bring a bond forward or hold it back.

The Problem

A chart is not a verdict.

Love is where fortune-telling does its worst work. A reader sees a weak Day Master and a heavy Spouse Star and tells someone they will be dominated for life; another sees two Spouse Stars and announces a second marriage. Neither is what the chart says. BaZi reads relationship, pressure and capacity — what a person is drawn to, what they can hold, and when the pressure arrives. This course teaches that reading with its limits intact: a chart describes a type, not a person; it cannot promise a marriage, and it cannot excuse behaviour.

  • The partner

配偶星 is not a photograph of one person. It reads the kind of partner the chart is drawn to and draws toward it — temperament, standing and element — and two people who share it do not marry the same man or woman.

  • The palace

The Day Branch is the marriage read from the inside: what the Day Master sits on, and whether that seat supports it or drains it. Read with the branch's own clashes and combinations, it is the closest thing BaZi has to the marriage itself.

  • The capacity

A chart full of wealth stars is not a rich chart, and a chart full of Spouse Stars is not a married one. Whether the Day Master can command what it conquers is the question the classical texts ask first — and the one most readings skip.

  • The timing

BaZi is a timing system before it is anything else. The luck pillar and the annual pillar say when a bond forms, when it is tested and when it is remade — which is the part a person actually wants to know.

Common Questions

Before you read a love chart.

  • Do I need the BaZi Masterclass first?

No. This course stands on its own: the Ten Gods, the Day Master, the branches and the luck pillars are all defined as they are used, so a newcomer can follow it from the first lesson. If you already read charts you will move quickly through the foundations and spend your time in the technique, the timing and the case studies.

  • How is this different from the Masterclass, or from The Wealth Pillar?

The Masterclass teaches the whole system and treats marriage as one case study among many. The Wealth Pillar reads the Ten Gods for career and money — its partnerships are business partnerships. This course takes the single question of love and marriage and goes all the way down: the Spouse Star star by star, the Day Branch as a palace, capacity to hold a bond, the marriage year, and the two-chart method of compatibility. None of the three covers that ground at this depth.

  • Will it tell me whether my marriage will last?

No — and any course that promises that is not reading the chart. A reading describes structure and pressure: what a bond is made of, where the friction sits, and when it is tested. It cannot decide an outcome, and this course is explicit about why, and about what a reader should refuse to say.

  • Can it tell me who I should marry?

It teaches the traditional method of compatibility — comparing two day pillars, reading the branches of two people together — which says where there is ease and where there is friction. That is a real and useful reading. It does not choose a person for anyone, and the course says so plainly rather than pretending otherwise.

  • When does the course open?

It is being written now and is not yet on sale: the modules and lessons below are the full plan. Enrolment opens when the lessons are ready, and the price shown is the price it will open at.

  • How is the course delivered?
