Chinese Metaphysics · Zi Wei Dou Shu 飛星
Read the chart in motion.
The flying-star method of Zi Wei Dou Shu, taught in full: how the four transformations fly from palace to palace and chain into a precise, cause-and-effect reading of a single life event — marriage, money, career, health, family.

- 祿轉忌 and 忌轉忌 — trace where a blessing lands, and where a burden lands.
- 追祿·追權·追忌 — chase a transformation back to its source and gather every palace that shares in it.
- 祿忌成雙 and 同宮雙化 — what happens when two transformations meet on one star, in one palace.
- 串聯釋象 — join three or four palaces into one story, and the rule that brings the chain home.

The Technique
A star that flies.
A palace reading describes a life in its parts — the career here, the marriage there, each palace a separate room. A flying-star reading describes the life in its motions — how money flows out through the friends, how the career feeds the home, how a spouse's burden becomes yours. The difference is a still photograph against a chain of cause and effect.
- Every palace flies its four transformations into four other palaces; each is a kind of energy, not a verdict.
- A transformation never stops at the palace it lands in — it moves on, and you follow it.
- A 祿 and a 忌 of the same star meeting in one palace double — for gain or for loss, decided by the landing palace.
- A reading finishes where it began: the chain always returns to the palace the question was about.
The Problem
A palace reading is a still photograph.
Most Zi Wei Dou Shu teaching stops at the palaces — which star sits where, how bright it is, what the structure says. That tells you what a life *is*. It does not tell you what a life *does*. The flying-star method is the other half of the chart: it reads the transformations as motion, and a single event as a chain of palaces acting on each other. That is what separates a reader who names parts from one who reads a whole story.
祿 is the blessing
Fortune, connection, opportunity. The thing that comes to a palace. 祿轉忌 traces where that blessing actually lands — the palace the 化忌 flies into is where the good is felt.
忌 is the direction
Concentration, worry, effort. The thing that lands and stays. 忌轉忌 traces where a burden is actually felt, and a lone 忌 in the Property triad is a collector, not a loss.
權 is the ability
Capability, control, effort. 追權 chases it back to its source, and a 權 meeting a 祿 of the same star is ability met by opportunity — the strongest form of good fortune.
科 is the grace
Reputation, refinement, the thing that smooths. 祿科會 in one palace is benefit that comes gently and lasts — wealth built slowly and kept, affection that does not fade.

Common Questions
Before you read a flying star.
What is the flying-star method?
The half of Zi Wei Dou Shu that reads the four transformations as motion. Every palace's Heavenly Stem flies 化祿, 化權, 化科 and 化忌 into four other palaces; the method follows those flights from palace to palace to read one event as a chain of cause and effect, instead of reading each palace in isolation.
How is this different from the Zi Wei Dou Shu Masterclass?
The Masterclass teaches the whole system — the chart, the stars, the palaces, the structures, and the four transformations in their place among them. This course takes one technique, the flying stars, and goes deep: the full chain grammar, the pairs, the redirects, and then applied readings for marriage, money, career, health and family on worked charts. It is the next step for a reader who already knows the chart and wants the method.
Do I need the Masterclass first?
You need to be able to read a chart: name the twelve palaces, know the fourteen major stars, and follow a transformation from one palace to the next. If you have that from any Zi Wei Dou Shu study, you can take this course. If not, the Masterclass is the place to build it.
Does this course guarantee a prediction?
No, and no course of this academy does. A reading is a disciplined way to see a chart's structure and the forces acting in it — it is not a promise of an outcome. The course teaches the method honestly, with the chart's own limits stated alongside its strengths.
How is the course delivered?
Entirely online, on this academy, in written lessons and fully self-paced: no deadlines, no scheduled classes to keep, and no app to install. Lifetime access is included.
Can I get a refund?
You may request a full refund within seven (7) days of purchase, provided you have not completed more than 20% of the course content. See the Terms & Conditions.
